Dancing Ben & Injured Kenny
WHAT’S THE DEAL WITH BEN DANCING? I get this question sometimes from viewers on a semi-regular basis. Moreover, folks tell me how much they love seeing our weather-pal Ben show off some moves or two. Well if somehow you missed it, Friday’s Sunrise featured a discussion started by our Lucas McFadden about the Chicken Dance. Well, discussing a silly dance with Ben in a room is kind of like chatting about an all you can eat buffet around competitive eating champ Kobiashi!
So in case you missed it, here are some of the still shot highlights of this dance routine. (yes, much like pro boxing pay per view events, don't the still shots make it look more dramatic!!)This features our production assistant Katherine and our intern Jessica. Making this even better, it was Jessica’s last day as our intern. What a great thing to put on your resume, doing the Chicken Dance on live TV with Ben Tanner. Hey big shot employers if you’re reading this, Jessica needs a good paying summer job, so give us a call!
WHAT SONG WOULD YOU LIKE BEN TANNER TO DANCE TO? Let us know and I’ll see if we can make it happen.
KENNY MANIA TAKES OVER COLUMBIA: I bet a lot of people are a little slow at work Monday, still recovering from the big Kenny Chesney concert. Apparently Kenny is recovering too, from injuring his foot from a harness tied to his foot while making a dramatic stage entrance. A schedule conflict prevented me from attending, but I'm curious what you thought of the big show? Think of it, very few acts are big enough to do stadium shows (Rolling Stones, U2) So congrats Kenny for attracting a big crowd!

Brian! Hahaha! This is hilarious; nice work!

I was in attendance at the Kenny Chesney concert on Saturday and was priviledged enough to be in the Sandbar. I saw when Kenny got his foot caught in the elevator of the small stage. It was obvious that he was hurt and was in pain, but he still pulled through and gave all of us fans and AWESOME SHOW!!! Kenny is a true professional and an athlete in great shape. He knows how to deal with injuries and push through to get the job done. Kenny Chesney is a totally AWESOME man and entertainer!!!!

I was there and it was great, just proud of Kenny for being able to pull through after the injury.

It was great and I hope he recovers quickly. He gave all he had even through the pain

It was a really good show...despite the fact he was in obvious pain. He continued to walk/dance/jump around the stage and I wondered why he didn't just grab a stool, sit and sing if he was committed to finishing the concert. After all, we were there to hear him SING, right? Kudos to his endurance.

my family and i went to see the concert, it was great for the most part. we were sitting in the front row unfortunately two out of almost a whole stadium of excessive drinkers started causing trouble and one assaulted my mom. we asked the police
what they did when all those drunks left. they said that they would get as many as they could. i think they should limit the amount of alcohol to three beers per person. they were getting very vulger with other fans and officers.

Ben always trips me and my wife out with his antics. I want to know what he's on or how he's able to function at such an early hour. At 6, I want to go back to sleep. Keep up the good work!
